If Grenache was a person, it would probably be the late comedian Rodney Dangerfield. After all when it comes to the pecking order of Rhône varietals, Grenache gets no respect. Sure great regions like Châteauneuf-du-Pape are famous, but after that, there isn't as much love shown to places like McClaren Vale in South Australia or Gredos in Spain. This tasting will have a heavy focus on Grenache or Grenache-dominated wines from the Southern Rhône, but will also showcase great examples of the varietal from other places.
